The Scripting Interface provides direct access to the functions of ProHit. It especially serves for running a large number of jobs, preferably in times when the computer is not needed for any other tasks.
Everything is possible, from the execution of simple scripts for automated database searches to the setup of complex annotation pipelines.

In order to use the full capabilities of the Scripting Interface, one needs to be familiar with Python, an object-oriented scripting language.
